Terms of Use and General Terms and Conditions of Sale
These conditions define the rules for using the MétéoPlan application and the MeteoPlan.app website, as well as the General Terms and Conditions of Sale for the MétéoPlan application.
The Legal Notices , the Terms of Use , the Privacy Policy and, for the website, the Cookie Policy (EU) define the general legal rules.
Using the application
MétéoPlan provides meteorological and natural hazard information to assist users in planning their activities. This information is compiled from data from various international and local databases. Hazard prevention information is based on recommendations from international scientific organizations and societies. It should be considered in light of local and personal circumstances not covered by MétéoPlan. Hazard prevention information does not constitute or replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is for informational purposes only.
How the service works
MétéoPlan is an application designed to provide users with meteorological information, forecasts, risk indicators and tools to assist in activity planning, particularly in the agricultural, environmental and risk prevention sectors.
The application allows the user to select one or more locations, view available weather conditions and forecasts, define monitoring criteria or profiles and, when the defined conditions are met, receive corresponding notifications or alerts.
The operation of certain features relies on receiving, processing, and analyzing data from meteorological sources and third-party services. The available data, its accuracy, update frequency, and availability may vary depending on location, time period, sources used, and technical conditions.
Some features may require an internet connection, the activation of necessary permissions on the user’s device, as well as the normal operation of updated Android services and third-party services used by MétéoPlan.
MétéoPlan may evolve, improve, modify or remove certain features of the application, particularly for technical, security, compatibility, data source evolution or service improvement reasons.
The features available to the user may also depend on the subscription plan used. Certain features, locations, or additional capabilities may be reserved for users with a subscription or corresponding option.
Using MétéoPlan implies acceptance of these Terms of Use.
Illustrations and images from the site
The images, illustrations and graphic representations on the MétéoPlan website are intended to present and illustrate the various features and possibilities offered by the application.
Unless otherwise stated, these visual elements are not screenshots of the application and do not necessarily accurately reproduce its interface or operation at any given time. They are used for illustrative and presentation purposes to facilitate understanding of the features offered.
The interface, features, graphic presentation and elements shown in these illustrations may differ from those actually available in the application, particularly depending on developments, updates, the version used, the language or the subscription offer.
Alerts and notifications
MétéoPlan allows the user to define certain criteria and parameters in order to receive, when the predicted conditions are met, alerts or notifications relating to weather conditions or risks identified by the application.
Alerts are automatically generated from available weather data, user-defined parameters, and the analysis methods used by MétéoPlan. Their triggering depends in particular on the availability and updating of data, as well as the normal operation of the application and the services necessary for sending notifications.
The user must have enabled MétéoPlan notifications on their device and maintain the necessary settings for them to function. A notification may be delayed, not delivered, or received after the relevant weather conditions have changed.
MétéoPlan alerts and notifications are a tool to aid vigilance and planning . They do not guarantee the detection, occurrence, or absence of an event and do not relieve the user of the responsibility to monitor actual conditions and take appropriate action.
The general conditions relating to the reliability, limitations and sources of meteorological data are specified in the MétéoPlan Legal Notices. Forecasts are never certain.
Scientific basis of risk analyses
The analyses, indicators, thresholds and risk levels proposed by MétéoPlan are established from recognized scientific, technical and institutional references , and in particular, depending on the areas concerned, from scientific publications, recommendations or data from scientific and public health bodies, international organizations, meteorological, agricultural or environmental bodies, as well as recognized professional references.
MétéoPlan does not arbitrarily create the thresholds used to characterize risks. The values, criteria, and methods used are selected based on knowledge and references available in scientific literature or from competent organizations and institutions in the relevant fields.
When multiple scientific or institutional references exist and present different thresholds, methods, or recommendations, MétéoPlan may select the values or methods considered most relevant to the purpose of the analysis and the available data. Methodological choices may also evolve when new scientific knowledge or new reference recommendations become available.
The results displayed by MétéoPlan are an automated interpretation of these references applied to the available data . They therefore do not constitute a new scientific recommendation and are not intended to replace the analysis or assessment of a qualified professional.
The scientific, technical, or institutional references used may change over time. MétéoPlan may therefore modify its criteria, thresholds, or methods of analysis to take into account evolving knowledge and reference recommendations.
Agricultural and garden risks
MétéoPlan can offer analyses and indicators designed to help the user in the planning and monitoring of certain agricultural activities, including risks related to temperature, frost, heat, wind, precipitation, humidity, irrigation, treatments or other meteorological and environmental conditions.
These indicators are calculated automatically from available data and according to the analysis methods integrated into MétéoPlan. They provide information to support decision-making and do not constitute personalized agronomic, phytosanitary, or professional recommendations.
The user remains solely responsible for assessing the condition of their crops, plots, equipment, and activities, as well as for any decisions made based on this assessment. Local conditions may differ from the data or estimates used by the application.
The information provided by MétéoPlan does not replace field observations, recommendations from qualified professionals, instructions from product or equipment manufacturers, or obligations and regulations applicable to agricultural activities.
MétéoPlan does not guarantee that an agricultural risk will be detected, reported or predicted by the application, nor that an alert will prevent damage to crops, equipment or agricultural activities.
Health risks
MétéoPlan may offer indicators relating to certain risks that may be associated with weather or environmental conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, air quality, allergies or certain conditions that may affect comfort or health.
This information is automatically generated from available data and analysis methods integrated into MétéoPlan. It is provided for informational and preventative purposes only and does not constitute a medical diagnosis, medical advice, or a recommendation for treatment or care.
MétéoPlan is not a medical device and its information is not intended to replace the advice, diagnosis or recommendations of a doctor or other healthcare professional.
As each person may react differently to weather or environmental conditions, the user should take into account their personal circumstances and, when necessary, seek advice from a healthcare professional.
In case of significant symptoms, a worrying situation or a medical emergency, the user must contact a healthcare professional or the appropriate emergency services without delay.
MétéoPlan’s health indicators and alerts do not guarantee the detection of a risk for a given person, nor the occurrence or absence of a health problem.
Weather information
The information provided by MétéoPlan is for informational purposes only. It does not constitute a guarantee regarding weather conditions or potential risks. MétéoPlan recommends always contacting local weather prevention and warning services during significant weather events. MétéoPlan provides analysis and information but is not aware of all the user’s specific circumstances. Users are reminded that government agencies and official meteorological authorities issue official watches, warnings, and advisories. Users should consult these official sources.
Subscription to the MétéoPlan app
Subscription purchases for the MétéoPlan mobile app via the Google Play Store are governed by the Google Play Store’s terms and conditions. Please contact the Google Play Store for any issues related to payment processing, automatic renewals, or any other questions regarding your purchase.
WeatherPlan Offers, Options and Extensions
MétéoPlan may offer various plans, subscriptions, options, and extensions that provide access to additional application features. Available plans may include a MétéoPlan Premium subscription granting access to a set number of locations, as well as extensions that increase the number of locations usable with the service.
Content, features, usage limits, subscription terms, and the availability of various offers and extensions are subject to change. The options actually offered to the user are those displayed in the app and on Google Play at the time of subscription.
The applicable rates are displayed before any subscription and may vary depending on factors such as the user’s country or region, the currency used, the subscription duration, and any locally applicable taxes or duties. Therefore, the prices displayed may differ from one country to another. The amounts shown to the user at the time of purchase constitute the applicable rates for that transaction.
Any applicable taxes, duties and levies are determined in accordance with the tax rules in force in the country or region concerned and may be included in the displayed price or added in accordance with the rules applicable on Google Play.
The availability of an offer or extension may also depend on the country, the application version, Google Play rules, or other technical or regulatory constraints. MétéoPlan reserves the right to create, modify, suspend, or remove an offer or extension, subject to the user’s acquired rights and applicable legal provisions.
Purchases, subscriptions and payments via Google Play
Purchases made in the MétéoPlan application, including the MétéoPlan Premium subscription and any additional extensions or options, are offered and sold through the Google Play platform, operated by Google.
MétéoPlan does not directly manage payment processing, invoicing, collection of funds, issuance of payment receipts, payment methods used, or refund procedures related to purchases made through Google Play. These operations are subject to Google Play’s applicable terms, rules, and procedures.
Consequently, any question, complaint or difficulty concerning a payment, billing, charge, refund, cancellation of purchase, subscription modification, payment method problem, unrecognized transaction or any other operation directly related to the transaction carried out on Google Play should be addressed primarily to Google Play, which is the only one able to intervene in the management of the transaction concerned.
MétéoPlan cannot, in particular, itself process a refund for a purchase made via Google Play, modify a user’s payment information, cancel a transaction already processed by Google Play, or directly intervene in the billing methods defined by Google Play.
Subscription and purchase management remains separate from the use of the MétéoPlan application. MétéoPlan is responsible for the operation of its own services and the features accessible within the application, within the limits set forth in these legal terms.
For any inquiry relating to a transaction, payment or subscription purchased via Google Play, the user is encouraged to use the support tools and complaint procedures made available directly by Google Play.
Any request concerning a transaction, payment, billing, payment method, charge, cancellation or refund related to a purchase made through Google Play must be addressed in accordance with the support and management procedures offered by Google Play.
Duration and renewal of subscriptions
When a MétéoPlan service is offered as a subscription, it may be available on different billing cycles, including monthly or annual. The applicable billing cycle is the one shown to the user before subscribing.
Unless otherwise specified at the time of subscription, subscriptions are automatically renewed at the end of each period according to the terms defined by Google Play. Users can manage or cancel their subscription according to the procedures provided by Google Play. Canceling a subscription does not necessarily affect access to previously subscribed features until the end of the current billing period, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
The conditions for renewal, termination, refund and billing are subject in particular to the applicable rules and conditions of Google Play.
Subscription and option frequency
When MétéoPlan offers extensions or additional options associated with a subscription, their billing frequency may be linked to that of the main subscription.
In accordance with Google Play’s rules for subscriptions and additional purchases, when a user has a primary subscription with a specific billing period, any extensions or options purchased alongside it may also be subject to that same billing period. For example, a MétéoPlan Premium subscription purchased annually implies that the associated extensions offered for that subscription must also be purchased annually. Similarly, a monthly subscription may be associated with extensions offered on a monthly basis.
This limitation results from the rules and operation of the Google Play platform and does not constitute a pricing condition freely defined by MétéoPlan.
The exact terms and conditions applicable to each offer, including its frequency, are shown to the user before purchase confirmation. Purchases, renewals, modifications, cancellations, and refunds remain subject to Google Play’s rules and procedures.
Right of withdrawal
Where applicable legislation grants the user the status of consumer and recognizes a right of withdrawal, particularly in the European Union, this right applies in accordance with the legal provisions in force.
MétéoPlan Premium subscriptions and options or extensions purchased through Google Play are digital services that can begin immediately after subscription validation.
Where permitted by applicable regulations, the user may expressly request that the service begin before the expiry of the statutory withdrawal period. The consequences of this request, particularly regarding the maintenance or loss of the right of withdrawal when the legal conditions are met, are those provided for by the applicable regulations.
For purchases made via Google Play, cancellation requests, refunds, or any other transaction-related actions are carried out in accordance with the procedures provided by Google Play.
The legal rights enjoyed by the user under the legislation applicable in their country of residence are not affected by these Terms of Use.
Modification or deletion of offers
MétéoPlan may develop, modify, suspend or remove certain offers, features, options or extensions offered in the application, in particular for technical, economic, security, compatibility, third-party service development or applicable rule changes reasons.
New offers, options or extensions are offered according to the conditions displayed at the time of subscription.
Unless otherwise required by law, modifying or removing an offer does not affect the rights already acquired by the user under a subscription period or previously purchased option. The terms and conditions applicable to existing subscriptions and options remain those in effect at the time of purchase, subject in particular to renewal terms and any modifications required by regulations or by the operation of Google Play.
Prohibited uses
The user agrees to use MétéoPlan in accordance with these Terms of Use, applicable laws and regulations, and the rights of third parties.
Specifically, it is prohibited to:

Service availability
MétéoPlan strives to ensure the availability and proper functioning of the application and its features under normal conditions of use.
However, MétéoPlan cannot guarantee permanent, continuous, or uninterrupted service availability. Access to certain features may be temporarily interrupted or limited due to maintenance, updates, technical difficulties, network problems, unavailability of weather services or other third-party services, or any event reasonably beyond MétéoPlan’s control.
Some features may also depend on the user’s terminal operation, the Android system, their internet connection, the permissions granted to the application, or services provided by third parties.
MétéoPlan may perform maintenance, correction, improvement or update operations on the application which may temporarily affect access to certain features.
MétéoPlan may also evolve the functionalities, calculation methods, data sources or technical conditions necessary for the operation of the service, in particular to maintain the compatibility, security or quality of the application.
Backup and restore
Depending on the terminal configuration and the backup mechanisms activated by the user or by the Android system, the data recorded in MétéoPlan may be subject to backup by the system’s backup services.
The possible backup of MétéoPlan data may depend in particular on the terminal settings, the Google account used on it, the applicable Android backup rules, the system version and the backup mechanisms implemented by Google.
MétéoPlan does not guarantee that all data recorded in the application will be backed up, preserved, or restored. The existence, content, frequency, and methods of any potential backup depend, in particular, on the user’s system backup services and settings and are not entirely controlled by MétéoPlan.
In the event of a change of device, reinstallation of the application, deletion of data, device reset or restoration performed by Android, some data may not be restored or may be restored incompletely.
When users have data they wish to keep, it is their responsibility to check the backup settings of their device and Google account, as well as the restoration options offered by Android.
MétéoPlan cannot be held responsible for the loss or failure to restore data resulting from the operation, configuration or unavailability of backup or restore mechanisms provided by Android or Google, subject to liabilities that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Changes to the Terms of Use
MétéoPlan may modify these Terms of Use to take into account, in particular, the evolution of the application, its features, its services, technical requirements, third-party services used or applicable legislation.
The version in effect is the one published on the MétéoPlan website and/or made available to the user at the time of their use of the service.
When a change is likely to have a significant impact on the rights or obligations of the user, MétéoPlan implements, to the extent required by applicable law, appropriate means to inform the users concerned before or at the time the change comes into effect.
Continued use of MétéoPlan after the entry into force of the new Terms of Use constitutes acceptance thereof, subject to the mandatory rights of the user under applicable law.
The modifications do not affect the rights already acquired by the user when these are protected by applicable legislation or by the specific terms of the subscription purchased.
